Explorer to help Inner Flame launch business sponsorship programme
Explorer and adventurer David Hempleman-Adams will help launch a business sponsorship programme for Inner Flame, as the charity celebrates its sixth anniversary, at a networking event later this month.
Inner Flame helps people aged 14 to 25 through training, mentoring, work experience, jobs and apprenticeships, in the face of mass unemployment among young people in Swindon – where 1,000 youngsters are still struggling to find work.
The event will see over 100 local business people networking while enjoying wine and canapés. All proceeds from tickets, raffle and auction will support Inner Flame, who will be launching a new business sponsorship programme on the night.
Mr Hempleman-Adams said: ““I am delighted to be supporting Inner Flame. We share a belief in the potential of young people, and in the power of challenging experiences to help them build confidence and self-belief.”
David Wreathall, Founder of Inner Flame, said: “Inner Flame has received a lot of support from the local business community over the last six years.
“On the night, we want to celebrate that and to build on it by launching a formal business sponsorship programme to enable us to help more young people.
“This will be our biggest event of 2014, and we are looking forward to meeting old friends and new.”
The event, which is being run in partnership with Business Scene, takes place at Alexandra House, Wroughton, SN4 0QJ on Thursday, September 25 from 6pm. Tickets cost £15.
