Thames Valley Chamber members given chance to influence Bank of England policy
Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce members are being given chance to influence monetary policy at the Bank of England.
The Bank’s agent for Central Southern England, Andrew Holder, will be at a meeting of the chamber in Reading on Tuesday, February 6.
The Bank visits the chamber on a quarterly basis to gather information directly from business leaders.
That information – together with data from 11 other regional agents – is then fed back to the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee to make a decision on the position of interest rates.
Andrew will also speak about the Bank’s most recent report and the outlook for the UK economy in terms of their projections for inflation and growth.
The meeting will be held at Green Park Conference Centre, in Reading from 7.30am until 9.15am. For more information, or to book a place, visit https://www.thamesvalleychamber.co.uk/event-details/quarterly-inflation-report-briefing-with-the-bank-of-england/47159/
