Swindon Interiors wins hometown contract to fit out new cinema
Swindon Interiors has won the contract for the complete fit out of the new £1.3 million Cineworld cinema complex in its home town.
Swindon Interiors provides employment to many local people, and says the Regent Circus contract will make a refreshing change for them to be working on their doorstep. Work is expected to take 14 weeks.
Managing director Colin White said: “To have succeeded against five other companies to win this tender is a testament to our ongoing commitment to our clients, and our workforce.
“We were up against strong opposition in a competitive environment and we are proud to continue our association with Cineworld.”
“Returning to Swindon will make a refreshing change for our team. As a born and bred Swindonian, I am proud to live and work in the local community.”
Meanwhile, Swindon Interior’s sister company, G&W Contracting, also based in Swindon, has been awarded the contract for the design and build of all electrical services at the complex.
This will include the supply and installation of fire alarms, emergency lighting, data installation and projection and sound systems. This contract has a value of £430,000 and will provide additional local employment.
