City-wide busking competition marks Salisbury traders’ bid for independence
A busking competition marks the start of Salisbury Independents’ Week, a celebration of the rich diversity of independent traders in the city.
Shoppers will be able to vote for their favourite busker when the initiative kicks off on Monday, June 30.
Promotions and discounts are on offer to shoppers as indies from shoe shops to hairdressers, gift shops to cafés and jewellers to boutiques set out to demonstrate that independent retailers are hard to beat on customer service, aftersales care, and often price too.
Participating businesses will display a window sticker, poster and balloons branded with the Salisbury Independents’ Week logo.
