Bank’s networking forum gets second airing

The second in a series of open networking forums to be staged in Swindon by HSBC takes place next month.

The breakfast on Wednesday, June 11 will once again be hosted on behalf of HSBC by Banks Chartered Accountants, at their offices in Stratton. HSBC is staging the forums away from the town branches as a way of reaching out into the business community.

At the last event in March, more than 40 businesses turned out to listen to expert speakers and to network. This time, the speakers will be HSBC’s deputy for the South West and Wales region, Neil Ridge, and Karen Dunne-Squire, from Elation Sales. It will also be filmed for Gayle Lacey, HSBC’s head of UK business banking.

“Our first networking breakfast went down really well with the businesses attending, and we’re looking at building on this for our next forum,” said Caroline Norrey, business specialist at HSBC’s Canal Walk branch, who devised the forums aimed at small to medium-sized businesses in and around Swindon.

“They are a way of adding value to our HSBC business clients, but they are not exclusively for them, and all businesses are welcome.”

The forums run from 7.30am to 9am and are free but pre-booking is required. For more information, or to book a place, email carolinenorrey@hsbc.com

Meanwhile, Banks is holding a retirement seminar on Wednesday, June 18 discussing the topic of retirement planning featuring a range of specialist speakers.

The free event will be held from 5.45pm until 7pm. To book a place, log on to www.banksca.co.uk/book-an-event

Both events will be held at Banks, Chartered Accountants, Vicarage Court, 160 Ermin Street, Swindon, SN3 4NE
