Amesbury has Shop Local campaign all bagged up
A 5p charge for plastic bags may be on the cards for English supermarkets, but in Amesbury they’re ahead of the game.
Visitors to this year’s Stonehenge Chamber of Trade Business to Business Showcase tomorrow (Thursday) can collect a free re-usable canvas shopping bag in support of Amesbury’s Shop Local campaign.
This year’s Business to Business Showcase is the seventh year the event has been running and brings together local businesses to show off their goods and services to the public and other businesses.
The event takes place from 3pm at Antrobus House, Amesbury and is free to visit. The event is open the public and business alike.
Stonehenge Chamber of Trade chairman Jim Johnston said: “The Chamber works hard to support local businesses and encourage people to shop locally in Amesbury and we are giving away free reusable shopping bags at the Business to Business to those who Shop Local as a small thank you for their support.”
