Accountants say cloud IT adds up for Swindon businesses
Swindon accountants Banks BHG are turning the spotlight on cloud accounting and how the technology could save both time and money for businesses.
The Stratton-based firm is running a free seminar at its offices on October 8, and has invited clients and businesses to find out more about cloud-based accounting systems.
Leading the seminar, which starts at 5.45pm, will be Banks BHG director Neil Elsden, and Stephen Rawlings from accounting software providers Xero. The event will include a question and answer session and is followed by a buffet.
“People already use cloud technology – such as internet banking, or social media – and enjoy the ability to access it from any device, anytime, anywhere,” said Neil.
“This same technology has been applied to accounting systems. The ease of access saves time for businesses, because there is no need to transfer data – it can be accessed in real time, online. And banking transactions can automatically flow into the various software options, saving time on rekeying information.
“At Banks BHG, we’re delighted with how the use of cloud has provided efficiencies as it increases capacity, and integration. It is accessible, it’s in real time, paperless, is more secure, costs less, and is more efficient.
“At the same time, we can provide a better level of service to our clients as time is transferred from doing basic bookkeeping to being a valued adviser.”
