Accountants head to forest for TWIGS
A team from Swindon accountants Banks are going down to the woods to take part in a sponsored walk for charity.
The team will undertake an 11-mile hike in Savernake Forest on Saturday, June 28 to raise money for TWIGS, the Swindon-based charity supporting people with mental health problems, with a focus on a community garden.
TWIGS is Banks’ charity for 2014. In previous years, charities they’ve supported have included Prospect and CALM (Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Movement) and in total they have raised almost £6,500.
Strapping on their walking boots will be Tracey Heath, Ben Haines, Paula Forbes-Smith, Claire Presdee, Claire Hunt, Carol Conway, Tracy Cacchio, Rowena Gonsalves and Paul Gosling.
So far, Banks has raised £700 for TWIGS from a sponsored weight loss and a quiz night. Other events planned for the year include a golf day and a race night, as well as a repeat of last year’s very successful Banks Bake-Off. The team are also volunteering for some gardening at TWIGS.
