Logistics firm Wincanton appoints new CFO
Logistics firm Wincanton has appointed Tom Hinton as chief financial officer.
He will join the board on August 15, replacing James Clarke who has been interim CFO since March this year.
Tom’s experience includes Group CFO positions at Infinis Energy plc, Domestic & General Ltd and WE Soda Limited, an international mining and chemicals business.
“I very much look forward to joining Wincanton and becoming part of the executive management team. Wincanton’s strong operational performance, blue-chip customer base, and considerable growth potential make this an exciting opportunity,” he said.
Wincanton CEO James Wroath said: “I am pleased to welcome Tom to his new role as we lead Wincanton through the next stage of our development. He has broad experience and an engaging and innovative style that I believe complements Wincanton’s strategic direction.
“I would also like to place on record my sincere thanks to James Clarke who has been a great support to me and the business in his role as interim CFO since 1 March 2022”.
Headquartered in Chippenham, Wincanton employs 20,300 people over 170 UK sites, and has a fleet of 8,5000 vehicles.
