Commercial law expert strengthens services and extends Gardner Leader reach into Oxfordshire

Thames Valley law firm Gardner Leader has announced the appointment of Oxford-based corporate and commercial partner, Sally Addis. Sally, along with her current team, expand Gardner Leader’s reach and services into the Oxfordshire region.

Sally has been advising corporate and commercial clients across the UK and internationally for the past 25 years, founding Addis Law 12 years ago.

Since its inception, the Addis Law team has developed a reputation for commercially astute, pragmatic advice, and for building long-term relationships with its clients – working with large corporate clients, SMEs, charities, universities, and private individuals.

Sally and her consultants join an expanding, highly experienced team of legal professionals. Gardner Leader employs over 180 staff, working across specialist teams each dedicated to providing specific services to businesses and to individuals.

Sally Addis said: “Joining Gardner Leader will result in good things for all of our clients. I’m excited by the possibilities. My team and I have always had a long-term, partnership-building mentality towards our clients and Gardner Leader has a similar approach.

“Addis Law has always run a team of highly experienced professionals, who punch well above their weight, and we are looking forward to joining the Gardner Leader team.”

For over 120 years Gardner Leader has been providing services to businesses and to individuals, specialising in corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, residential property and conveyancing, inheritance protection and family law.

The firm has tripled in size over the last 10 years and has offices throughout the South-East, South-West, London and now Oxfordshire. In 2021 the firm merged with Swindon-based commercial, corporate and real estate solicitors, Clark Holt, helping to reinforce its services to businesses, and to compete against other regional and city law firms.

Derek Rodgers, managing partner at Gardner Leader, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Sally and her team to the Gardner Leader family. Sally is a vastly experienced solicitor and a highly regarded, trusted legal professional. By having feet on the ground in Oxfordshire it will enable us to further support our commercial and corporate clients.”
